Our Events

The Scandinavian Australian Association organises a number of events throughout the year to celebrate our Scandinavian traditions.

Most of our events are open to visitors while some are for members only.

Regular events schedule
There are a range of regular events organised by or through the SAA and below are some of our weekly events.

  • Danish conversation group on Mondays from 5.30 to 7 pm at the Cellar Bar at University House. Contact us for more info.

  • Norwegian private language tutoring
  • Norwegian conversation group, please contact us for more info
  • Norwegian radio program [SBS]
  • Revontulet – Finnish folkdancers
  • sCanDans – Scandinavian folk dance
  • Scandinavian school [Swedish] for children young people (6-18 years of age) for whom at least one parent speaks Swedish at home. Mondays 4 to 6.30 pm. Please contact us for more info.

Major events calendar
The SAA organises a range of major events through the year. Our main focus is on our Scandinavian traditions and many of the events are related to the yearly celebrations in the Scandinavian countries.

Many are family events which enables the whole family to get together and meet up.
