The ACT Scandinavian Australian Association welcomes the local community to join the Scandinavian Christmas celebrations that are being held at a Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar this coming Sunday.
The annual event, which is being held between 1pm and 5pm on Sunday 27 November, allows Canberrans to mix with some of the 600 Scandinavians living in the ACT, enjoy entertainment for all ages and stock up on Scandinavian delicatessen.
“The program is packed with Christmas-inspired goodies ranging from stalls selling food, home-baked delicacies, traditional Christmas decorations and other art and craft, through to activities like a raffle and a café selling Scandinavian coffee, freshly baked pastries and Christmas cookies,” said President of the Association Ms Birgitte Moltke.
Visitors will also enjoy live entertainment in the form of carols sung by the Swedish Choir and a traditional Lucia procession.
Throughout the afternoon there will also be activities for the kids, such as creating decorations for the Christmas tree.
